BuzzMeBro is $9.99 a month for the whole apartment and rings up to 4 phones. Here are the two side by side, with what each company has written down about your household’s data.
Side by side
| Service | Price | Promises not to sell your data | AI training | If the company is sold |
|---|
| BuzzMeBroToronto, ON | $9.99 a month, or $7.92 on the yearly plan. Up to 4 phones | Yes, in the policy | Ruled out in the policy | Your data is deleted before the sale. The buyer gets none of it |
|---|
| FreshBuzzerVancouver, BC and Halifax, NS | CA$4 a month. Up to 5 phones | In its FAQ, not in its policy | Not mentioned | Your data is a transferred asset |
|---|
Prices are each company’s own published prices, in the currency they state. “Not mentioned” means exactly that: the policy is silent, so nothing has been promised either way.
FreshBuzzer, in its own words
FreshBuzzer

- Its FAQ says “We don’t and won’t sell or share any of your data with any third party.” Its privacy policy, the binding document, makes no such promise and says it shares IP address information and aggregate information with “our partners, service providers and other persons with whom we conduct business”.

- AI training
- Says nothing about AI or model training, either way.

A buzzer service holds the mobile number of every adult in your home, your address and unit, and a log of when your door opens. BuzzMeBro is a Toronto company paid by subscription and nothing else, and its privacy policy commits to three things.
- Never soldYour phone numbers, your address and your door log are never sold, rented, licensed or traded. Not to advertisers, data brokers, landlords or anyone else.
- Never used to train AINot our own models and not anybody else’s. No AI company gets your household’s data from us, at any price.
- Not even if we are boughtIf BuzzMeBro is ever sold, your phone numbers, address and door log are deleted before the sale. A buyer never gets them.
What this does and does not show
FreshBuzzer’s privacy policy does not say it sells your data, and this page does not say so either. If price is all you are weighing, read both prices above and pick the one that suits you.
What the comparison shows is what each company has put in writing: whether your data can be sold, whether it can be used to train AI, and what happens to it if the company itself is sold. Open both policies and check. The wording above is copied from FreshBuzzer’s, and ours is here.
